A Day In The Life Of: Kristyan Rachael

 


“Kristyan…Kristyan! It’s time to wake up! It is between 6:45am and 7:00am which is usually around the time you wake up!”
Now that Kristyan Rachael, our Sales Director is awake, it’s time for the day. But first, a shower.

 

For breakfast, it is normally toast with some marmalade and butter (NEVER margarine).

Whilst the bread is toasting, Kristyan will go ahead and do his morning ritual of juggling 7 chef knifes.

(He wanted to add a little more excitement to his day in the life blog)

 

Once the cats have been fed, he will normally brew a hot coffee. If there’s no coffee, he will make up a herbal tea. Now, Kristyan is a big defender of herbal tea. He will NEVER allow it to be slandered!

He will sit on the front step, and just take in his surroundings. Birds tweeting, leaves flowing through the wind, ROADWORKS ROADWORKS ROADWORKS, the smell of fresh air. Ah, lovely.

 

Kristyan works from home most of the time nowadays, but will pop into different branches every now and then, most of the time for training purposes.

A lot of the time, it is for training up the newest starters – getting them started early with sales techniques. What to say, what not to say. Influencing them for their day to day life in recruitment – during interviews with candidates for example.

He will often listen to consultant’s sales calls, and give feedback to make sure they are gaining good habits right from the start of their journey, ready to start selling!

 

Coming into the office could also mean catching up on sales meetings with all branches and seeing what progress they have made with their hit lists. He will also be thinking of ideas on how to sell perms, the best ways to approach companies, how branches can improve their sales cycles, and discussing what they have planned for the future.

 

Kristyan will always have music playing in the background, whilst working or just in general. Exclusively classical music. Makes him feel mindful and at peace, and probably makes him feel like the Professor of Sales!

 

For lunch, on the day of writing this blog actually, it was a sesame seed bagel, with cambozola cheese, wafer thin salami, tomato spinach, and a spicy relish. Now that’s different isn’t it?

 

Start of the afternoon, Kristyan will often catch up with his fellow team in sales; Speaking about new ideas, and some new ideas have been brewing up!

 

He will often tag along with consultants for sales visits, either to help them out or catch up with old clients he helped with in the past. The good old days!

Sometimes, these meetings could turn into a spot of job shadowing. This helps to better understand the company’s work environment and requirements, and also to build rapport with key people.

 

Kristyan often finds himself on the phone everyday being asked by consultants for help or ideas to battle a new project.

Like a guru. Sat with a pipe, offering his wisdom.

Add in the classical music, and you’ve definitely got the Professor of Sales!

 

Now that it is home time, Kristyan doesn’t need to head home, as he’s already in it!

But speaking of home, he has been doing up his home for a very long time, so more than likely, that will be the evening job!

 

Other than house work, he enjoys going to some local pubs for a cheeky drink, or a cheeky meal. He is a big fan of live music, and loves going to gigs either with well-known artists, or upcoming musicians you may have not heard of yet.

He is also a big film fan. ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’, ‘Deer Hunter’, ‘Paradise Alley’. Just a few of his favourites.

 

Phew! What a day! Sounds like it’s time for a Kristyan kip.
