A Day In The Life Of: Tori Willey

“Mother please, will you wake from your slumber?”
“What?.. Tillymoo is that you?”
“Erm…woof woof!”
Guess it’s time for our Burton Recruitment Consultant, Tori to wake up.

First off, Tillymoo (the dog) will be let out, and then it’s time for breakfast.

She will then be fed, demanding food. She would be nice about it. She waits patiently.

“Please Mummy, feed me. You are my favourite.”

“I know I am Tillymoo.”

Now it’s time for hair, make-up, and too much time on the eyebrows!

If hair isn’t going as it should, she will just scrape it back, and in Tori’s words, ‘look like an egg’.

No breakfast! Just 1 black coffee on the way to work.

Time to shuffle through the ‘on the way to work’ playlist (even though it takes her about 5 minutes to get in…that’s about one song!)

It could be Rock, Disney, House… Who knows!

The newest member of the team, Sam, has taken the 1st-person-into-the-office flag from Tori now. How awful and mean is that?!

Tori is also the office DJ – Actual music, not the 5 songs that the radio play on shuffle.

It’s 8:00am. Get working Tori!

She is diary obsessed. Everything has to be in the diary! If it isn’t in there, that task doesn’t exist.

“What task? Don’t know what you’re on about mate”

Tori’s diary will usually be full of things like check-ins, dealing with absences, being on-call, and any general tasks that could pop up throughout the day.

About 9:00am, Tori will then probably start crying “I’m hungry!” like a baby. Good thing she has an emergency stack of snacks, because it’s DRM (Daily review meeting) time!

This is the time for our consultants to discuss each of their tasks for the day, and share any updates with the rest of the team.

These meetings will always spring up more and more tasks that we never knew existed until now.

Such is the life of a recruiter – Stuff will just pop up out of nowhere! With every ring of the phone, the day could take a different direction. A new booking could come in, a new client could emerge, a temp emergency could arise… Tori has to be ready for anything!

After tackling all of that, it’s lunch time! Let’s get to munching!

It’ll usually be something from Aldi, but if it’s a Friday, oh boy! That’s the time for ‘Fat Fridays’ in the office! Could be from the local café or McDonald’s… Such unique choices!

Tori will often offer money to anyone willing to go fetch it for her…

She could be found scrolling through Tiktok whilst munching, or maybe doing a spot of Sudoku… But normally, she will just chat a load of dribble.

Tori cannot risk leaving the office, as she will leave her parking space up for nabbing. She cannot reverse we hear, so everyone has to take turns helping.

Tasks in the afternoon? Same as the morning really. Filling bookings, speaking to clients, sales! The usual.

Tori tends to be out a lot more in the afternoon, visiting client sites or hunting for new business. Since Sam, the newest member of the team joining, Tori has been helping him to start getting used to the many clients that we deal with on a daily basis!

5pm… HOME TIME!

Zooming off straight home.

As soon as she walks through the door – “My favourite parent. Feed me again please. Woof”

It’s Tillymoo at it again.

Word on the street is, that Tori has started going to spin classes…but they absolutely destroy her! So maybe just one session a week for now.

If it’s a Thursday, then it’s pub night. But more importantly…Fake tan Thursday! Woo!

Now it’s time to relax in the warm comforts of home…but Tori ain’t paying for heating at this time of year, BLOODY EL!

It’ll either be time for a Netflix series, or at this moment in time, she’s playing through the latest Zelda game…from 2017… (But I can say first hand, it’s so good.)

Time for a solid bedtime at 10pm, but not before a good catch up of the latest celeb goss for about half an hour.

Tori said, and I quote, “LOVE A BIT OF GOSS ME!”

Goodnight Tori. Sleep well.
