Welcome to the team: Amy Heppleston

Welcome to Amy Heppleston – one of our newest staff members in our Barnsley office.

What made you apply for the role at Essential Recruitment?

I was looking for a role that would allow me to further my skills and experience. I was eager to take on a new opportunity!

Tell us a bit about your current role. What are your main duties? What are you responsible for?

In my role I’m mainly interviewing candidates, processing payroll & P45’s, writing job adverts and calling candidates with an interest in our job roles.

Past experience:

I started working as a stock assistant at Aldi and after a couple years progressed to a store assistant. As a store assistant I replenished stock, worked as a till operator, completed deliveries to deadlines and helped with inventories.

Would you recommend others to join Essential? If so, why? What parts of the job do you enjoy the most?

I would definitely recommend working at Essential to others as it is such a rewarding job, it is also great for building relationships with clients and candidates. Everyday at Essential is a learning day and it has been great attending the training sessions which enable me towards improving my skills and experience to become a great recruitment consultant.

What do you think you bring to the team?

I would like to think I bring plenty of enthusiasm and determination to the team, My previous job included plenty of engagement with customers which I think is quite beneficial in my current job role as I am speaking with both clients and candidates daily. I also bring willingness and a great attitude to take on task which are being set.

Tell us about about your personal life – what do you do for fun?

Outside of work I generally like to attend gigs and watch live music as this is a favourite interest of mine. In the past 23 years I have been lucky enough to have attended plenty of gigs and festivals and seen some amazing bands such as The Who, Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chili Peppers – to name a few!
