Izzy joined us in as the newest member of our Ripley office. We spoke to her to find out a bit more about herself and her new role!

What made you apply for the role at Essential Recruitment?

I have had a few different roles however, I decided I wanted to find a career. I have always been interested in recruitment but I had never taken the steps to give it a go. I decided to apply and I am glad I did!

Tell us a bit about your current role. What are your main duties? What are you responsible for?

I currently look after 6 different contracts so far, I find candidates for them and have daily check ins with them. Other duties include Pre-screening and interviewing candidates, onsite check-ins, processing payroll, managing candidate Holiday accrual and payments. I enjoy all aspects of my role!

Let’s talk about your past work experience. What did you do before joining Essential?

Before joining Essential, I had a few different roles. I have worked in Optics, Retail, Entertainment and Customer service.

Would you recommend others to join Essential? If so, why? What parts of the job do you enjoy the most?

Yeah, I have found the company to be really supportive and welcoming. I feel learn something new everyday and enjoy each days as it is different. Would definitely recommend others to join Essential recruitment!

What do you think you bring to the team?

I make a good cup of tea!

Tell us about about your personal life – what do you do for fun?

In my spare time, I enjoy walking in the peak district, going to the gym, shopping and spending time with my partner. I also love a trip to the theatre!
