A Day In The Life Of: Natalie Elliott

It’s 6:20am, time for our Content Strategist Natalie Elliott to wake up…oh wait she’s hit the snooze…

It’s 6:30am, time for Natalie Elliott, our Content Strategist to wake up for sure now!

But first, the announcement of “Wee Wee’s!” must be addressed, as we then hear the big bounding paws of her very own Japanese Akita, Sirio, who rushes outside for his morning wiz.

Now it’s time to get ready, and no breakfast! That’s once again, another added to my long list of non-breakfast eaters.

Bag is packed, a quick peck on the snoot for Sirio, then it’s leaving time for Natalie, heading for a bus that could maybe turn up or not. Who knows anymore…

Natalie is usually the first person to get into the office for around 7:30am. Early bird catches the worm and all.

Radio switched on, computer logged in, and then time for just a little bit of admin work before 8am hits.

The rest of the marketing team will come waltzing in soon after her, and she will demand a coffee! She bangs on the desk and all!

*Slurp Slurp* “Ah, lovely brew”

First things first, it’s time to write today’s to do list, and attend the daily 8:30am morning meeting with the team.

Natalie and her team will first off pick pens out of a pot to decide who will man what role in the morning meeting. She is always hoping and praying for the red pen, the team’s to do list writer.

Then in due course, discussing what everyone had for tea the night before. There are no bounds to what can be discussed at the round table of marketing.

The first post of the day is always scheduled for 9am, so Natalie will get on with sharing that out all over social media!

Natalie manages the Facebook page, so will make sure that everything is in order to be shared out, scheduled for regular time, and that there’s no spelling mistakes. (Although sometimes they can get the most engagement. Cheeky!)

Along with the posts, she will also go through any messages from the night before or throughout the day. She makes sure they are all replied to and everyone is happy!

Natalie is the number one stat lady, so her notebook will be full of numbers, charts, tables, stats, more numbers. Taking notes of how well our posts have done, and constantly comparing previous stats to inform the team what performs best. Crazy stat lady she is!

Lunch starts at 1:00pm for Natalie.

It used to consist of a little toddle off to the local M&S for a quick peruse of the reduced section, but the stupid shop has moved further away now! She’s absolutely fuming!

With that being said, she now makes the effort to make her lunch from home. Sandwiches a-plenty please!

She might not be able to walk to M&S anymore, but she’s still got to get a peaceful lunch time walk in. For that fresh air, and to just forget about those stats for a minute.

After Lunch, Natalie will help all the consultants with any roles that they would like pushing the most, along with creating weekly sales content for them to use. Thinking of any out of the box ideas, and coming up with new content strategies. Hence the job title, ‘Content Strategist’!

She will also chase up any consultants for pictures, if it’s their birthday, anniversary, or an achievement of any sort. This is where everyone hides away as soon as the camera pops out…

Not only will she help and chase consultants, she will also spend a lot of time writing up our company blogs, where she will talk about the latest news regarding recruitment and jobs in general, and sharing insights for anyone who may not know how recruitment agencies work.

She will also run our Temp of the Month competition, where each branch can nominate one of their lovely workers to win not only the title of winner, but a £50 amazon voucher too! So she will make sure each branch has their nominations in on time.

Home time!

Quick rush to the bus…oh it’s not turned up…

Once home, not even a single breath has been had before Sirio is there…

“Mum! Mum! You’re home! Oh wow! Let’s go for a walk! Come on come on! Let’s go go go!”

It’s time for that nightly Sirio walk.

Tea time, what’s cooking Natalie?

“Curry!”

Ah the classic choice.

Now I’m sure you want to hear Sirio’s menu of choice. First off, it’s a lovely jumbone for starter, then some delicious mackerel in tomato sauce for main. An absolute delicacy.

Usually after tea, it’s TV time, which is usually the latest missing person case, or unsolved case documentary. Almost every day, Natalie will let us know all about someone’s murder or mysterious whereabouts in the office.

Alongside that, she is currently watching the Ugly Betty series for about the 6th time. We all have that one comfort show!

Normally, if the footie is on, Natalie is checking up on the fantasy football app to see how she is doing in our company league.

As the night draws in, Sirio will howl at the moon, but probably because he needs another “wee wee” before bed time.

10:00pm strikes, time to hit the pillow. Goodnight Natalie!
