A Day In The Life Of: Leah Fox

It’s 4:30 in the morning.
The moon is shining bright, the owls are hooting, not a stir in the night… apart from an alarm coming from the household of one of our Worksop Recruitment Consultants, Leah Fox!
As her Husband is up super-duper early, it’s time for Leah to drag herself out of bed too.
“Mum! Is it time for a walk?! Oh boy! I’m so excited!” says Dodger.
“Erm, excuse me mother! It’s time for our walk? Jeez. Get with it” says Nala.
Dodger and Nala are Leah’s two dogs, not just random strangers in the house with them.
They demand an early morning walk, and for both Leah and her husband to walk them too, otherwise, Leah is being dragged down the street, and that wouldn’t be nice would it?!

Guess what? We have another one who skips breakfast! This is too much now.

Leah claims – as long as she has had a cuppa, she will be alright.

…it just baffles me.

Leah will head into the office, arriving at the …pushing it… time of 7:55am, but of course, she gets logged on for 8am.

Funnily enough, she isn’t the last one to arrive into the office apparently!

First things first, there are a couple of specific contacts that need to be contacted, then it’s on with catching up from last night.

This will consist of calling clients to check in with them, going through any emails from the night before, and checking up on the out of hours phone calls.

The Worksop branch will have a catch up, with the usual topics of bookings being discussed; What needs prioritising the most, whether there are any outstanding tasks from yesterday, and sharing updates on eachother’s clients to ensure everyone is in the loop.

With everyone up to date, to do lists written and the phones starting to ring, it’s time to get stuck in. From answering calls and emails, to popping out to check-in or induct new starters on-site, and interviews with applicants – the morning flies by.

LUNCH TIME! GET SOME FOOD DOWN YOU LEAH!

Great start, as it’s an amazing lunch of ‘nothing in particular’ for Leah.

She will head off home for lunch, as she’s one of the lucky few who only lives about 5 minutes down the road. Leah will then let the dogs out. Who? Who? Who you ask? Leah will.

Back into the office, time to tackle the afternoon.

Leah will keep working on those bookings. It’s all about finding the perfect candidate!

Looking through the long long list of CV’s… now it’s a new year, the list may be even longer…

Leah will often attend local jobs fairs, where she can show her friendly face to the public and spread the Essential word!

Or sometimes, she could be living it up and eating fish and chips with her clients! Sadly Leah couldn’t attend the last one…but I’m sure another client fish and chips date is on the cards!

Once again, there will be another catch up in branch before the day is nigh – such as discussing what they achieved in the day, and what to cross off their lists.

The gang will then review the day as a whole, from that setting targets, and discussing what everyone would like to achieve tomorrow and for the rest of the week!

Now it is time to head home.

Rushing straight into the shower, comfies on, and time to make the tea!

Tea might be easier for Leah these days, as she obtained one of those trendy air fryers that everyone is going on about! She cooked a whole pie in it for Pete’s sake!

Once the food has been consumed, it is time to curl up into a ball and watch a film or TV show. Although Leah will flick through Netflix for hours until she finds something.

“Erm, mum! Don’t you know it’s time for our nightly walk? Jeez mum, every time”

“Yeah mum! Let’s go now! Come on!”

There go Dodger and Nala, demanding one of their night walks.

Then it’s off to bed at 10pm.

Goodnight Leah!
