A Day In The Life Of: Dana Humphreys

There may be a storm brewing this morning, or it might be the footsteps of our Senior Recruitment Consultant, Dana Humphreys, stomping around to find her dog for a morning cuddle.

It’s 6:30 in the morning, and once Kia has been cuddled, it’s time for Dana to get ready. She’s not cuddling a car hehe, don’t be silly, Kia is her black staffy!

**I hear she has something to say… “Mother, love meeee, feed meee”. Ah, classic Kia.**

Dana will be up and at ‘em to get ready, dressed, and be putting her face on. Along with getting lunch ready, with the abundant of snacks. Top priority this is. And then she’s out the door for 7:30!

The Chesterfield office is already vibing to the sounds of kettles and music as Dana arrives.

She will smoothly slip into the conversation like she was a part of it the whole time.

Important thing to mention, we have finally broke the “No breakfast” trend that we’ve seen with basically every other person we’ve followed for the day, and Dana will have breakfast in the office! We’ve finally done it!

8am… It is time to start the day.

To begin, Dana will speak to all of her clients to make sure her staff have arrived, and start digging through the inbox to make sure she is responding to any relevant emails from the night before.

Morning meeting time! Everyone in the Chesterfield team will gather round and go through the on call reports, any bookings they have that day, and informing each other of any interviews that are happening on the day.

Dana will then go through her list of new starters, checking up on the times they have started, and what time they finish to ask them how everything has gone in their new job.

Kaboom! It’s ad response time people! Dana will spend time scrolling through responses for any ads she is running. If some job ads are not getting much of a response, she will really analyse the position to see just how competitive it could be. If so, Dana will run so fast upstairs and have a good old brainstorming session with the marketing team.

Around the time the clock hits 11am, Dana will start getting hangry…

“I want some FOOD!” she will bellow from her desk. “Give me some food now!”

She will happily fight anyone in the office for a bit of scran. She will usually drag her fellow co-workers to Nandos.

After what feels like only 5 minutes of the morning, the afternoon has already arisen!

The afternoon for Dana will usually consist of phone calls, phone calls, phone calls.

Dana will be calling up clients that are not using us at the moment to arrange meetings before it reaches their peak season, along with calling prospect businesses, where Dana will totally wow them with her amazing sales lingo.

Dana will usually finish off her day by spending time chatting to any new temporary workers she has placed, just to see how their days have gone in their brand new jobs and whether they’re happy to continue.

“5pm, go home WOO!” This was Dana’s actual quote when I mentioned home time.

Kia will be eagerly waiting in the window for her to get home. It’s not a car you silly munchkin you! But all this will depend on, does she go to her own house, or to her partners house…Who to be fair, will soon be living with her. So Kia can constantly be waiting with excitement!

On some days, Dana could be spending her evenings getting her eyelashes done, or meeting up with the gals for a dance and glass of prosecco woo! Slow down there Dana!

Once home, her partner will usually cook tea, they’ll have a long chat about the day just gone by, then it’s time for bed!

Ohhh what a day…
