A Day In The Life Of: Chloe Holbrook

Before the crack of dawn, WAY before the crack of dawn, our Rotherham Recruitment Consultant Chloe Holbrook is up and about to start her day!
She is up for 5:45am, and all morning tasks have been perfectly timed so she can get up at the last possible second. Everything is perfectly scheduled so that it all fits into place. So if she drops something, or needs to tie her laces all of a sudden, all hell breaks loose…
That means no time for breakfast! (I may as well keep a tally now of the non-breakfast eaters…)
Time to pop on not one train, but TWO trains! Usually this journey will consist of reading or listening to music, but also catching up on last night’s Love Island too!
Chloe is usually one of the first to get into the office, and will often fight fellow worker Natalie to open the gate.
For a good half an hour, Chloe is usually by herself, so will spend her time cleaning. Mainly to stop branch manager Rob throwing cutlery away when it’s not clean.

Time for the day to begin!

Chloe will get started by going through the check ins. Looking through web applications, seeing who has registered, and booking them into a particular day where she can meet them at the Rotherham office. Chloe loves a cheeky Tuesday for this.

DRM (Daily review meeting) time. If on a Wednesday, Chloe will head up the meeting. These meetings will consist of any immediate bookings that have come in, any absentees, new starters, the highs & lows of the week, and to find out what everyone is up to that day.

She will then go through the ad response – spending time looking through each applications that have come in in detail, to see if there are any available jobs that could perfectly suit specific candidates.

Lunch time!

Our Managing Director Marc has taught Chloe how to make scrambled eggs in the microwave, so since then, the lunch of choice has been scrambled eggs on buttered toasted bagels.

Afternoon time!

Time to get on with sell sell selling!

Chloe will spend time creating sales projects, catchy emails, and using that sweet sales talk to send off to prospects that she’s been eyeing up.

She will often spend the afternoons out and about!

Visiting clients, door knocking, or just staying put in the office and checking in with them over the phone! She’ll chase up any absent candidates to see if they are returning, and check in with our new starters to see how their first day has been in their brand new jobs!

HOME TIME! It’s back on those pesky trains.

A few days a week, Chloe will participate in a bit of sunbed action straight after work, followed by some gym time.

Chloe will then get home, make food, and watch a cheeky bit of anime – ‘Demon Slayer’ is the current choice (She thinks this a lame, but I will defend this!)

If not anime, it will be catching up on any Formula 1 action. “Checo is the best woo!” Chloe claims.

She will often pop off to watch Rotherham FC at the weekends – “Oliver Rathbone is the best woo” Chloe claims.

I would like to see a brawl between Checo and Rathbone. See who Chloe cheers on then.

If it’s a Wednesday night, it’s time for some pool, but in a league! Chloe will watch her friends play in an official league – she has been titled as the drinks getter and cheerleader, along with sometimes being the practice guinea pig.

Chloe will also attend a lot of comedy nights, alongside some local gigs, and will have neighborly dinners every week with people in her building.

And finally, it’s time for Chloe to head off to bed at 10:30pm, but a lot of the time, she cannot sleep. If so, she will bake brownies at 3:00 in the morning, which the Chesterfield branch love!

Goodnight Chloe! May I have a 3:00am brownie please?…No?…Okay…
