A Day In The Life Of: Lisa Smales

*BEEP*…*BEEP*…*BEEP*
It’s 5:30am. It is time for Lisa Smales, our Worksop Branch Administrator to start her day! With a very busy morning…

She will first off make sure her cats Ruby & Mia have been fed and their litter trays cleaned out, get the dishwasher emptied and then filled back up again, and then it’s time to get the lunches ready. One for her, one for her husband, and one for her daughter.

Once these morning tasks have been done, it is time for her to leave for work at 7:15am.

Normally, Lisa is the first to get into the office, so she makes sure she has unlocked both doors to the Worksop offices before getting that kettle filled!

There is now a packed office down there, with 10 people all snug behind their desks, demanding they have a brew on their desks! (Not really, they’re not THAT bad…)

Because of the lovely things like this, Lisa is nicknamed the ‘Mum’ of the office, and is always referred to as ‘Mum’.

*SLURP SLURP* “That’s a good brew.”

Time for the days tasks. As Lisa is an Administrator, she will sort out a lot of the “behind the scenes” stuff, such as processing holidays, running payroll reports for our clients, chasing up any recent registration appointments and sending out P45’s.

And it doesn’t stop there, oh no! She will also be the one to organise ‘Temp to Perm’ certificates, making calls to candidates who have called in sick to see if they are returning, checking our database for candidates currently seeking work, ordering PPE & stationery, and sending any holiday information to our consultants.

Phew. What a day. Saying this, the only time Lisa will actually leave the office… is when she needs to take the bins out.

Now the day is done. She can now leave the office (And that’s not to just put the bins out).

Once she is home the cats will demand their tea, and more than likely, the little tray may need a little sprucing up again.

Lisa is also the chef of the house. She makes sure she gets tea cooked for her family every night, but sometimes a bit of food shopping may be on the cards.

Eventually, a fed and relaxed Lisa will kick back with a spot of TV or play some games on her phone. Whatever anyone fancies on Sky at the moment will be the choice of the night.

All this is done until 11pm, and she will always make sure she goes to bed after that time.

Goodnight Lisa. It’s time for another day all over again in another 6 hours.
