REF S202: General Operative, Sheffield S20

General Operative required for an immediate start.

An exciting opportunity has come up within a multi-national company based in the S20 area of Sheffield for a General Operative to join the team.

The company designs and manufacturers standard and bespoke rail power systems, both trackside and vehicle mounted.

Pay:

• £11.55 per hour

Hours:

• Working 8 hours a day / Monday to Friday
• Day shifts, usually 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm, but must be flexible to the business needs

Main duties:

• Refurbishing batteries through a series of steps (processing, formation, and cycling).
• Handling and resolving queries related to battery refurbishment data.
• Working to improve cost efficiency and meeting performance targets.
• Following company EH&S best practices at all times.
• Cleaning and maintaining batteries and their shells.
• Fulfilling any other reasonable requests as needed.

Experience required:

• Strong focus on client satisfaction
• FLT experience is massively advantageous
• Good written and verbal communication
• Proven ability to work within a team
• Must be physically fit due to the nature of the role
• Previous battery / circuit knowledge is advantageous
