Projects Manager

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 07:30 – 16:15 / Friday 07:30 – 12:00

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per year

Location: Sutton In Ashfield

Contract Type: Permanent

A good working knowledge of electrical and civil engineering would be advantageous. Some of the project work could be for export and therefore may include overseas visits.

The purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate projects and timetables within the Abacus Contracts Department to ensure all objectives are met, safely within timescale and budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparation and monitoring of project programming, on site start up, delivery, method statements, risk assessments, completion, testing, O & M manuals, will be responsible for a profit margin on each project.
• Contact with Sub-Contractors to define and implement plans and projects.
• Site visits as and when necessary to ensure objectives are being met by others.
• To monitor, report and update on projects throughout their progress.

Experience and Skills:

• Previous experience in Project/Contract Construction Managing is essential.
• Educated to HNC or equivalent desirable.
• Health and Safety qualifications and Knowledge of Risk Assessments and method statements – highly desirable.
• Current CSCS card holder, i.e. Site Manager would be advantageous
• SMSTS card – preferable.
• London Underground/Network Rail knowledge/previous working experience – advantage.
• MUST possess excellent organisation and communication skills at all levels.
• MUST hold full UK Driving Licence.
