Electrical Assembly Operative – Burton on Trent

Salary: £31,494.84 per annum + Overtime after 39 hours at £23.30ph

Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 16:30, Friday 07:30 – 15:30

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Start Date: Immediate starts available

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Assembly Operative to join our client based in Burton on Trent. This role requires high-level soldering, wiring, and mechanical assembly, with the ability to interpret electrical schematic drawings and work with minimal supervision.

This role is ideal for an Electrician, someone with electrical assembly experience, or anyone confident reading technical drawings. Even if you haven’t worked in electrical assembly before but can read drawings, we’d be keen to hear from you.

Main Duties:

• Electrical wiring to a high standard
• Producing PCB layouts and testing prototypes
• Assembly and re-work of electronic components
• Wiring test boxes and PLC control boards
• Soldering through-hole and surface-mount components
• Assembly and testing of electronic PCBs

Skills & Knowledge Required:

• Competent in reading and working from electrical and mechanical drawings. Even if you haven’t worked in electrical assembly before but can read drawings, we’d be keen to hear from you.
• Ability to follow schematics or engineering diagrams
• Knowledge of soldering (surface mount and through-hole)
• Previous Panel Wirer or Electrician experience desirable but not essential as long as you are confident reading drawings
