Part Time HR Advisor

 Burton upon Trent

 

Adient based in Burton upon Trent are currently looking to recruit a HR Advisor on a temporary ongoing basis for 12 months cover within their HR team.

As a Human Resources Advisor you will play a crucial role supporting the HR department, ensuring the smooth operation of the processes. The position requires strong communication skills, as you will responsible for effectively communicating with employees at all levels. You will have previous experience within a similar role, highly organised with a strong attention to detail.

 

Pay Rates:

£15.00 – £18.00 per hour

Up to £18, 720 per annum

 

Hours:

20 hours per week

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday AM

Daily Tasks:

  • Proactively manage both formal and informal HR cases and work collaboratively to provide support at all levels, ensuring a consistent approach in line with legal requirements.
  • Respond to HR related queries as a first line advisor to managers across the organisation, delivering extensive advice on employment law and HR practises.
  • Meet regularly with people managers to ensure best practice for dealing with HR concerns so that these are proactively managed in a timely manner before escalation of concerns.
  • Work with allocated areas to provide first line support to develop underpinning professional people management skills and knowledge.
  • Support all stages of HR processes covering disciplinary / capability and grievance and provide expert advice.
  • Proactively work with areas to address issues such as absence levels and support managers to effectively manage this.
  • Work collaboratively with the Organisation to develop people management capabilities across the organisation including delivery of HR related development / briefing sessions.
  • Highlight and report and trends / risks within the HR portfolio and make recommendations to address this where appropriate.
  • Contribute to changes regarding policy, frameworks and processes to adopt best practice approaches to reflect case law and legislation.
  • Ensure all case details (including case files), documentation and resolutions are accurately recorded including note taking when required, ensuring that data governance and record retention requirements are followed.
  • Advise employees on details of employment conditions.

 

Skills Required: 

  • CIPD Level 3 Qualified
  • HR legislative understanding/knowledge
  • Proven experience in advising on HR associated matters (grievance, disciplinary, performance management, absence etc)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proactive mind-set
  • High level IT skills using MS Office – Word, Excel, Power Point and outlook
