Extrusion Technician

Hours: 8 Hours Mon- Friday, Shift Patterns may Apply

Salary: £29,000 – £30,000 per annum

Location: Coalville

Contract Type: Permanent

Due to continued growth and expansion we are currently looking to recruit an Extrusion Technician to join our business in Coalville on a permanent basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee all extrusion lines according to precise specifications and maintain the production continuity
• Set-up, operate and troubleshoot all equipment: extruders, controls, water baths, laser gauges, printers, test equipment
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and report information/findings, develop recommendations, and implement process changes to improve operational performance
• Analyse and resolve any work issues, assist staff in solving problems
• Must understand and perform related tasks such as TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance), Data collection/input and meet all related requirements for documentation and traceability

Experience and Skills:

• Proven experience in extrusion processes, set up, maintenance and operation
• 4+ years’ experience in plastics extrusion (Rubber or Polymer)
• Strong mechanical aptitude, along with demonstrated troubleshooting / problem solving skills
• Good Mathematical skills, including units of measure, fractions and decimals. Computer knowledge is essential
