Semi-Skilled Electrician, Huthwaite

You will be joining a company which is one of the largest switchgear manufacturers and set the standard for LV switchgear and power distribution.

Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm / £14.50 per hour / Overtime at £18.62ph with Sunday rate at £23.24ph

This is a temporary to permanent role, which means the company will assess your work ability over a period of 12 weeks and then offer a permanent contract if they would like you to join the team. They are looking for someone who is looking for progression and training within electronics.

 

In this role you will be assembling electrical control panels/switchgears and supporting installation, modifications and maintenance of all products. You will need to be able to understand panel design from wiring diagrams and interpret electrical schematics.

 

What would make you the perfect candidate for this role:

Experience:

  • Previous experience in switchgear panel building
  • Apprentice or time-served in an electrical environment e.g. installations or panel wiring or electrical qualification
  • Familiar with mechanical assembly of devices and copper busbar systems
  • Knowledge of panel assembly/fabrication techniques

Qualifications:

  • NVQ or City and Guilds Level 3 in Electrical installations
  • Level 3 NVQ Electrical

Electrical Test Engineer, Sheffield

You will be joining a company who designs and manufacturers standard and bespoke rail power systems, both trackside and vehicle mounted.

Monday to Friday, usually 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm / £15.00 – £17.00 per hour dependent on experience

This is temporary ongoing role which means you are guaranteed ongoing work every week. Once you’ve completed your first 26 weeks with us, you are then welcome to apply for internal permanent roles within the company if you’d like to secure a permanent contract or you can carry on working ongoing with Essential.

 

In this role you will be performing Earth continuity testing using 25 Amp earth bond tester and confirming all external panels are earthed and the earth connections are good. You will also be:

  • Confirming wire sizes are correct and fuses and protective devices are correct for the specific build of FCP
  • Checking wire looms are secure
  • Checking terminal shrouding is correct
  • Checking mechanical fixings are correct

 

We’re seeking candidates with either:

  • HNC qualification in electronics or similar
  • HND qualification in electronics or similar
  • City and Guilds qualification in electronics or similar

Sewing Machinist, Rotherham

You will be joining a company who is an industry leader manufacturing products who used by competing world class athletes. 

Monday to Thursday 7am – 4pm / Friday 7am – 1pm / £10.50 – £11.55 per hour

In this role you will receive ongoing work with the opportunity to gain a permanent contract with the company.

 

In this role you will be working within a fast paced factory setting, working to high standards of conformity with regular QC interaction and guidance.

  • Changing machine settings for different jobs and working with on-site mechanic to maximise your productivity. Parameter sets may have to be regularly changed for different tasks
  • Feeding material through the machines. Ability to feed large amounts of material through the machines each day, combining repetition with consistently high-quality output
  • Stitching together other items, using guides and templates for positioning and badge stitching
  • Checking finished work against the companies QMS and designated SOP procedures
  • Designing pattern instructions and within quality measurements. Working to exceptionally high standards of finish. Our company
  • Cleaning and oiling machines. Regular routine maintenance and ownership of machine/ equipment

You will be joining a company who manufacture sofas, armchairs, mattresses and bedding systems that are sold in-store and online by the UK’s largest retailers. They also make soft furnishings like curtains and beds for caravans, motorhomes and lodges for the leisure market.

Monday to Thursday 7am until 4pm / Friday 7am until 12pm / £11.24 rising to £11.88 after 12 weeks

This is a temporary to permanent role, which means the company will assess your work ability over a period of 12 weeks and then offer a permanent contract if they would like you to join the team.

 

In this role you will be joining an expanding production team making cushions, seat covers and bedding for the furnishings industry.

Duties may vary per department:

  • Sewing curtains
  • Sewing cushion covers

  • Using an overlock machine
  • Using an lockstitch machine

Monday to Thursday 7.30am until 4.30pm / Friday 7.30am until 2.30pm / £9.70 per hour

This role is permanent, so after the application and interviewing stage you will be hired directly by the company.

 

In this role you will be using a lockstitch sewing machine, as well as:

  • Cutting and measuring of various types of fabrics
  • Prepping customer orders for despatch
  • Completing quality checks on all finished products
