Essential Recruitment become ALP members

As of January 2023, Essential Recruitment are members of the ALP.

What is the ALP?

The Association of Labour Providers (ALP) is a not for profit trade association. They promote “responsible recruitment and good practice for organisations that supply essential workers across primary and industrial sectors, construction, food and general manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and the supply chain”.

Why have Essential Recruitment joined the ALP?

Our membership gives us unlimited access to webinars, toolkits, contracts, briefs, guidance and helplines to support us in finding, recruiting and retaining workers.

We can receive specialist support, stay up to date with industry news and have a stronger voice.

How does it benefit Essential Recruitment’s clients to be ALP Members?

One major benefit is that we will be in a better position to deal with any legal issues that arise surrounding our temporary workers.

The ALP also provide tools to help with:

  • Engagement
  • Support
  • Immigration
  • Right to Work
  • Sourcing and supplying staff
  • Worker retention

How does it benefit Essential Recruitment’s candidates to be ALP Members?

The ALP provide resources to support our compliance with the GLAA, an agency who tackle exploitation in the workplace. They are particularly concerned with employers who fail to pay the National Minimum Wage and Modern Slavery Offences.

Though of course, we have always done the right thing, our connection the to ALP ensures that we have the right tools to support our compliance department.
