Last week the public were outraged that Amazon workers could labour so hard for so little, and protested for better working conditions. The news that Amazon may be soon automating many processes brings fear to those relying on the work, especially as these kinds of jobs can bring employment to the lesser skills and qualified candidates.
Would we really put the advantage of fast deliveries over the importance of providing work to masses of people who to feed their families?
Many people are against immigrants moving over to the UK and taking up the low paid, undesirable work. Would you prefer robots?
The work may be tough, and it’s probably not that enjoyable, but it’s work – paid work. We should be thankful for huge companies such as Amazon for bringing thousands of jobs to locals.
