A day in the life of: Summer Caunt

Summer Caunt – Day in the life blog

On a crisp Barnsley morn at 5:00am, there be a stir from the Caunt household.

There be our Senior Recruitment Consultant Summer, rising up after hearing the alarm, giving lclarification that she needs to go to work soon!

But first, “Woof woof! Oi, I need the toilet!”

That is Summer’s dog Willow, calling out it’s desperation for a morning toilet trip.

It’s a quick morning change, then off to the gym!

But hold up, breakfast! Someone has breakfast in this company!

Two boiled eggs, with a little cheeky slice of toast with guacamole.

Time for work. Pick up that phone Summer!

Summer will ring clients first off to check in with temps and to see if anything is kicking off.

Summer is normally onsite with a variety of clients around 3 – 4 times a week in the mornings, so most of her team won’t see her for the morning.

Once she’s back, let’s gather round Barnsley team! It’s DRM time!

This will consist of discussing the many many activities each of them are doing, and splitting each of the tasks for each consultants.

Then it’s the lovely tasks of going through the Barnsley application inbox. Last I heard, there was just over 1000 CV’s in there!

Summer says she has had the exact same lunch for as long as she has worked here.

For lunch, it’s salmon, broccoli, carrot and French lentils or new potatoes. Every, single, day since she started.

If there’s a holiday trip on the cards soon, she will spend lunch time on the sunbed. What a way to spend lunch.

Summer is very sales heavy these days. She gets home at the end of the day, and she checks her pockets for car keys, phone, purse, and oh look at all these sales!

She spends a lot of her time canvassing for the Barnsley and Wakefield areas.

Each week, she will work with her fellow consultants to set tasks for each of them to achieve, such as how many door knocks and calls they can make per week.

She will use her years of sales experience to aid her fellow consultants in their sales journey.

It takes a hefty 55 minutes to get home for Summer.

If she hasn’t been to the gym in the morning because of onsite visits, well…she’ll be off to the gym! Summer’s got a little personal trainer you know?

If it’s the weekend, it’ll be a trip to the driving range!

There will also of course be a chance to take Willow the dog out.

Willow is a *insert naughty word here* Summer says. If she gets too excited, she will wee everywhere, and have a little nibble of her feet.

I thought humans did that too?…No?…Just me?…

Then, as simple as it is, it’s shower, bed, sleep. Goodnight Summer!
