Continuous Improvement

Partner with Essential Recruitment for more successful recruitment campaigns   How does working with a recruitment agency differ to direct recruitment?

How can Essential Recruitment aid your commitment to continuous improvement?

Let’s explore the ways in which we commit to that ourselves, how it benefits you, and how we can work together to keep the momentum going.

We’ve increased advert response by up to 546% by using video advertising.

We offer a free marketing service to our clients, including creating promotional video adverts. We’ve compared how many views a vacancy gets before and after using video content, and results are as much as 546%. Our clients love it!

Our on-site, in person service reviews keep our relationship steadily evolving.

We agree suitable intervals to visit our clients to review our service. By ensuring these are regular and on-site, we’re able to keep up to date with changes within our client’s business, and ensure that we adapt to their ever-changing needs.

Learning and development opportunities for our staff never stop!

It’s not just our processes that need to stay ahead of the curve – in order to make our new ideas a success, our staff need to be industry leading too. We organise regular training and development courses for staff across the whole business, from new starters to long-timers!

How Essential Recruitment prioritises continuous improvement

Improvement club

Once a month, members of the branch network + support staff will meet to work on a number of current processes.

We discuss issues, find potential solutions and then trial them – reporting back with the best way to proceed.

Lean 6 Sigma

A number of our staff member completed a course on lean 6 sigma, giving us a totally new perspective on how we can run our business more efficiently.

Although we don’t use this day to day in our business, we work with many companies who implement lean strategies in theirs, so our knowledge can help us to speak their language.

Training and Development

We have a dedicated training and development department which offers thorough inductions to our new staff members, plus ongoing training to our longer-serving staff members.

Suggestion box

Since becoming Employee Owned, we’ve implemented a suggestion box for staff to put forward their business ideas. This isn’t a place to request vending machines or more days off – this is where we take business growth and reshaping suggestions seriously.

Thinktank sessions

As times change, our business needs to re-evaluate it’s strategy and adapt to a new environment. When this happens, we love to hold a thinktank session! We bring a group of staff together to discuss ideas, inspiration and motivation to beat whatever problem we’re facing.

How our Marketing Department develops innovative marketing strategies

The marketing team hold a meeting each morning to organise their days – then report weekly on their achievements and record their stats.

Their strategy is reviewed on a regular basis, with overall revamps coming annually – or whenever required – The market can change in the blink of an eye, so we need to ensure we’re continually staying ahead of the curve!

How we adapt to changing trends and platforms

We ensure we are subscribed to various resources and keep up with industry news to keep ourselves up to date with any changing trends and /or platforms.

We closely monitor our social media / online statistics in order to make sure we are always advertising in the most relevant areas.

If something is not performing as well as before, we investigate why and implement tweaks until we return to a place of growth.

How we target diverse communities

Facebook groups for each location help us to target local candidates – these groups have a community atmosphere, with other local employers posting their vacancies and other individuals signposting relevant vacancies to jobseekers.

We can’t discriminate, but we can challenge stereotypes… A big misconception within the Industrial sector is that these roles are for men only. We’re trying to change this perception by regularly sharing testimonials, images and videos of our female workers who also work in these roles.

How we report back our successes & make suggestions for improvement

We regularly share the feedback we receive from candidates and clients on social media, both to promote our business further, but also to prompt others to share their own experience with us – which they do!

When working on promotional materials for a client, our marketing team log their activities on our CRM system so that all staff members have a record to refer back to.

We are able to draw statistics on the success of social media campaigns, such as how many candidates the post had referred to the job vacancy and how many of those actually applied.

We’re always looking forward to our next challenge !
