Get to know Summer:

Summer joined our Recruitment Agency in Barnsley in 2017. Here’s your chance to get to know her more!

My Story:

I worked within a call center doing outbound Sales before coming to Essential. My boss at the time knew a member of staff who worked here and put me forward for the Trainee Recruitment Consultant role. I had my interview with Essential on the Friday and started my new role as an 18 year old Trainee Recruitment Consultant on the Monday!

In January 2022 I was been promoted to Senior Recruitment Consultant and August 2024 I was promoted to Branch Manager.

My Role:

I focus on making sure the girls in the office are as happy as possible and support them wherever needed.

I manage our clients, ensuring bookings are filled, clients & candidates have everything they need and making sure the figures keep on the up! ( plus much more than this)

I love watching our branch grow, seeing the girls progress and become the best they can be, as well as meeting / communicating with new prospects.

My clients:

Whilst I have involvement with all the clients on our plan, there are specific clients who have me as their sole account manager. 

One of my clients requires Warehouse Pickers, FLT Reach Drivers & Handballers.
Another recruit for Gatehouse Admin, Account/Finance Assistants, Manufacturing & Chemical Operatives.
Another client, Eriks recruits for Warehouse Operatives, Despatch Operatives and Machine Operatives.
Lastly I’m recruiting Machine Ops, Manufacturing Operatives and Despatch Operatives for a new client of mine! 

Outside of work, you’ll find me:

Traveling/exploring the world, spending time with people in my circle, shopping (it’s a bit of a problem at this point)

If I could time travel for a day, I’d… 

Go back to 2016 and spend everyday with my gran (she was the most incredible woman!)
