We are a specialist production and manufacturing recruitment agency supplying vetted temporary and permanent staff to small, medium and large businesses across the Midlands and South Yorkshire.
We can support your operations with flexible solutions tailored to your needs, whether that’s temporary cover, ongoing staffing, or temp-to-perm placements. Our temp-to-perm option is a popular choice with clients, giving you the opportunity to assess new hires in your environment over a probationary period—ensuring the right fit before making a long-term commitment. This approach reduces hiring risk, supports better retention, and gives you complete confidence when offering a permanent contract.
We place a vast majority of candidates into warehousing and logistics roles. We have been recruiting in this sector for 20 years, working in partnership with a variety of companies from SME’s to large distribution centres, supporting for one off vacancies, dual supply with other agencies and sole supply agreements.

Why businesses choose Essential
“We have worked with HR Essentials for well over 15 years and we have an transparent and open business partnership. They understand our staffing needs in a diverse working environment with some quite unique business processes supporting a high volume reactive market.
Over the years Essential have continuously delivered a high calibre of staff on a planned and reactive basis for multiple shift patterns.
The working relationship we have built over the years means that we can have honest and open conversations with Essential, this also allows for Essential to fully understand our business needs and the calibre of person that we require.
Our relationship which is built on solid foundations means that Essential will react and proactively recruit for positions so that there are staff ready to go when we need them to start, usually at very short notice.
We would highly recommend Essential to any of our other sites as well as external businesses looking for an agency partnership.”
Paul H, Production Manager
“When the company announced that Essential Recruitment would be providing to our business I thought ’here we go again’, having worked with several agencies over the years who have promised ‘this and that’ but then not delivered what we asked from them, I guess I was skeptical. However I can honestly say that they have delivered what said they would do in that meeting from the first day through to today.
Essential go out of their way to ensure we have the right criteria of people and do not just send in anyone just to make up the numbers like we have experienced in the past with other agencies. They have a good understanding of our business needs and understand the demands from our supplier that will affect our working day, and a good knowledge of our job processes so the right person is selected. I can honestly say it’s a privilege to have Essential working with us to help keep our manning levels where we need them, and I look forward to continuing working along side them in the future.”
