Marching on for Bottled Up Blokes

Our aptly-named friend Andy March is walking 15 miles on the 5th May to raise money for Bottled Up Blokes, a charity whose mission is to ‘raise awareness and help to end the stigma surrounding men and mental health’.

We’ll walk to that!

This charity was created ‘to try and help men open up about their mental health, addictions and other life struggles on a safe, non judgemental platform’.

Bottled Up Blokes offer support via various platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, their Podcast, and their weekly men’s support groups named “BUB HUB’s” in the local church hall. They also host weekly football sessions at Tibshelf Community School, which aim to help men with their physical and mental health. These are run by the BUB captains who are mental health first aider trained. Any men 18+ can attend these sessions. Bottled Up Blokes teamed up with Nottingham Forest Community Trust in June 2023 and have started holding weekly BUB HUBs in Hucknall now too. They hope to open more BUB HUBs in Nottingham and the surrounding areas in the coming months!

We’ve supported Andy and Bottled Up Blokes with a donation. If you’d like to do the same, please visit their website.
