A Big Thank You to Everyone Who Donated to our Burton YMCA Foodbank Collection

During May, we invited local businesses and our Essential staff members to collect essential food and toiletry items for the Burton YMCA, that can be bundled into emergency food parcels. Overall, we collected 9 bags of food donations, and made a £200 monetary donation from our monthly charity pot. 

The Food Bank provides vital support to individuals and families across Burton who are facing hardship. With 2,225 emergency food parcels already distributed since the start of the year, the need is greater than ever. Alongside food support, the YMCA also offers accommodation for single homeless adults aged 18–64, mediation and counselling services, homelessness awareness sessions for young people aged 14–18, and much more.

We’re really pleased to have been able to play a small part in supporting the incredible work of the YMCA, helping those who need it most in the community.
