Burton – Donating to various charities
“We would like to thank you for your donation for our Easter eggstravgansa, as you may already know we have had a fantastic response, from Easter eggs to soft toys we have collected over 400 items. Once all the donations had been collected we contacted the chosen charity “Homestart” in Newhall to give them the great news and asked how many items they would like for their children, they asked for one gift per child, which totalled 100 gifts.
Upon representing these, the Burton Mail where present and have done a write up of our fantastic campaign (as shown below) We also had help from our local radio station Touch FM where we did an interview with one of the presenters.
The remaining 300 items was then split, 25 went to “Homestart” in Burton (they asked for the soft toys as they had already received an egg donation) 100 went to the children’s ward at the Queen’s Hospital in Burton Upon Trent, 100 went to the children’s ward at Birmingham Children’s hospital and the remaining 75 have been donated to Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People.
