Victoria or “Tori” is a Recruitment Consultant based at our Burton office. Tori is a quirky character who can be found either quietly working, or crying with laughter!
Tori’s day starts the same as everyone else’s. The alarm rings and she wakes up next to her dog, Tilly staring at her wanting her breakfast. She’ll go down stairs and Tilly will be at her bowl doing the breakfast dance, we can only imagine what that involves? After Tilly is fed and her routine is over, Tori will assess how much effort she has to wash her hair… It can take months for Tori’s hair to dry (ask her for Tori’s Top Tips if you need it dry in a few months). Tori is a fashionista and has so many ways to style her hair in the morning it’s off the charts!
After the hair situation, Tori has to have her morning drink. No, it’s not a brew, it’s a vitamin C drink so she doesn’t contract any illnesses. Funny thing is, she’s been moaning about a cold all week…
Next, she’ll go in the garden to have a catch up with Tilly, scroll down her Instagram and +Facebook feeds and have a browse of the Daily Mail. She’s 24 and reads the Daily Mail, that tells you everything…
Just before she walks out the door she’ll fill her travel cup with a black coffee (1 sugar) and begin her long journey to work. 5 minutes later she arrives. She’s always early, but she’ll be greeted at the door by colleagues and fellow early birds, Sigita and Tom. They’ll catch up on what they’ve got planned over the weekend and more importantly if anyone is hungry enough to order breakfast…
Tori will then do her favourite thing of the day – sitting down. She’ll do her general call-rounds making sure her “friends” have arrived for work, and then proceeds to chase the ones who haven’t turned up. She’ll do some admin on some of the positions she has out at the moment to update them and then plan in some sales calls to book her second visit of the week! After all her tasks she requires a brew, so nominates Tom for brew duty. Tom makes a mean brew – Not because it tastes nice, but because he’ll put around 3 spoons of coffee in. It’s fair to say the Burton team are often “motivated” after a Bates brew!
Working in the Burton branch is always a laugh. You’ll often find Tom chuckling over something that isn’t actually that funny, Tori will be quizzing Ben about his love life, Charlotte will put her 10 pence in and rate Ben’s current fling out of 10 and Sigita will just watch in awe… Normally Sigita and Tori will go get some fresh air with a coffee in hand to break the day up, or at least that’s what they tell the office! In truth they go outside and discuss what they’ll be getting for Dinner. On their return into the office they discover secretly behind their back the team have already decided where they’re going for dinner – The trusty cafe. Tori is feeling adventurous and pushes the boat out with 2 hash browns and ketchup. We’d loved to see her order when she’s being good… “Can I have one food particle please?”!
After food is consumed Tori begins the sales calls she penned in earlier, hoping she can continue the streak of visits she’s booking at the moment! The team will discuss their plans for the weekend, what they’re having for dinner and what they think to Ben’s new lady friend. The journey home is just as long as the way to work. After a unbearable 5 minutes she arrives home, walks her dog and settles down to watch Hollyoaks. She’s proud to announce that she’s not missed an episode of Hollyoaks in 7 years… How is that even possible?
