My story:

I joined Essential 9 years ago after meeting up with Gary Wilson the old MD at a function – I’d known Gary for many years as we have worked in the industry since the 80’s. I came in to manage the Derby Office, but soon moved into Business Development. I became a Trustee in 2021.

My role at Essential:

I am responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building strategic relationships, and driving revenue for Essential.

My value lies within relationship building; Listening to company’s specific requirements and offering an excellent and cost effective solution for both temporary and permanent roles. I’ll offer a consultative approach to market trends, salary benchmarks, and the availability of talent in their specific area.

I also spend time researching market trends, competitors and customer needs to assess potential business opportunities that align with our company goals.

I love talking and meeting people – there is nothing better than discussing our services with clients and offering them great solutions!

What you’ll find me doing outside of work:

I’ve just started horse riding again after many years, and wonder now why i ever stopped. Meeting friends for coffee and a wonder around a garden centre and time with family

If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be?

Cooking, 100%! I’m a terrible cook and my Son (who is a Chef) puts me to shame!
