Workshop Operative – S65

We are working with a leading manufacturer based in Rotherham, Parkgate who are looking for a Workshop Operative to join their small, fast-growing team

Key Details:

• Monday to Friday, 7:30am- 3:30pm
• £12.71 rising to £14 per hour once trained
• £300 attendance bonus available once permanent
• Easily accessible via public transport
• Full time hours
• Weekly pay

Duties:

• Using various hand and power tools such as hand sanders and grinders
• Waxing, staining and finishing of wood
• Operating woodworking machinery where needed such as laser machines
• Prepare products for despatch and stacking of timber products
• Physical manual handling due to the nature of the role and products
• Quality checking finished products before despatch
• Assisting in different areas of the workshop as required

Requirements:

• Previous workshop, manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
• Experience working with wood would be advantageous
• Ability to work to quality standards and production targets
• Physically fit due to the manual nature of the role
• Hands-on, reliable and willing to learn
