Food Manufacturing Operative (Weekends)

Please note: Due to shift start times, candidates must be able to reliably commute to site. We are looking for local candidates within a 20-30 minute driving time radius 

 

A global leader in vitamins, minerals and supplements are currently looking for experienced manufacturing operative’s  to join their ever-growing team. Due to high demands in the business they are looking for individuals to carry out manufacturing of the products in a safe, disciplined, effective and efficient manner, in line with company policies, procedures and specific requirements defined by the Warehouse Management Team.

This is a very clean role in a food manufacturing environment. You’ll be expected to comply with GMP, which includes wearing hair nets and snoods, removing false eyelashes or nails, and taking off all jewellery to maintain hygiene standards.

Duties to include:

  • Complete production documentation and maintain GMP, housekeeping, and Health & Safety standards
  • Clean equipment and tooling, recording all activity in line with Work Instructions
  • Monitor machine and area condition, carry out basic maintenance, and report issues
  • Dispense, weigh, label, and prepare materials in line with Batch Manufacturing Records and SOPs
  • Set up and operate compression/encapsulation processes, including coating and solution prep
  • Record key process data, report non-conformances, and complete in-process and quality checks
  • Receive and verify jobs on the packing line and support general production duties as required

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous food production experience ideal.
  • Good ability to read and fill out any necessary paper work.
  • Good clear writing ability and oral communication skills are required.
  • Keen to learn about all aspects of the job role.
  • Flexible on working hours

 

Rates of Pay:

  • Days £14.86 per hour
  • Nights £15.73 per hour
  • 30 Minute paid Break

 

Hours of work:

Training in the week: Minimum of 3 days per week – Flexible on what day

Weekend Days – Friday, Saturday & Sunday  or Saturday, Sunday & Monday – 12 hour shifts 6am

Or

Weekend nights – Friday, Saturday & Sunday or Saturday, Sunday & Monday  – 12 hour shifts 6pm – 6am

They will also accommodate for the right candidate just Saturday and Sunday work.
