Warehouse Operative, Rotherham

Our client is a fast-growing, family owned business based in Rotherham S63 who are looking for dedicated Warehouse Operatives to join their busy, friendly team.

This will be a varied role, offering a permanent position for someone looking to build a long-term career.

Rate of pay:

• £14.62 per hour
• Overtime paid at double time

Hours:

• Monday to Thursday / 2:30pm – 1am
• Overtime Friday shift / 2:30pm – 1am

Duties include:

• Consolidation of orders: de stacking, re packing and rebuilding of single and bulk products onto pallets, shrink wrapping, labelling and prepping last minute orders for shipment
• Order picking online and retail store products using a scanner
• Pulling warehouse items from the shelves based on a number, size, colour, quantity and quality requirements – this could involve heavy lifting
• Ensuring picks are accurate
• Operating equipment such as LLOP / PPT Trucks and ensuring safety regulations are followed
• Working towards KPI’s and hourly pick targets
• Cross referencing customers orders to ensure minimal errors
• Packing and prepping orders for goods out
• Performing other general warehousing duties as and when required

Skills required:

• Own Transport would be essential due to shift finish time unless you live in walking distance
• Recent experience working within a warehouse environment
• Positive attitude
• Good attention to detail and able to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to work under instruction but also using own initiative.
• Numerate and literate due to working with product codes and orders
• Physically fit due to nature of the role
