WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE – HOYLAND, BARNSLEY

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our small, friendly client based in Hoyland area.

You will be joining a business which takes pride in progressing their staff offering future careers within the industrial sector.

Pay Rate:

  • £12.71 per hour
  • Increasing to £16.81 per hour after 12 weeks

 

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8am to 2:15pm

 

Duties:

  • Picking customer orders from correct locations using hand scanners
  • Packing customer orders ready for despatch
  • Quality checking of products when they have been returned for defects
  • Putting away returned goods, repackaging and labelling
  • Data inputting, allocating new pick faces for inbound products
  • Working within a fast-paced environment
  • Various other duties as and when required

 

Skills required:

  • Own transport is essential due to not being on public transport routes
  • Candidates must be happy to stand on their feet all day
  • Previous picking or general warehouse experience in a similar role would be required
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under their own initiative
  • Candidates must be physically fit due to nature of work
