Warehouse Operative – Barnsley Town

Our client is a manufacturing company based in Barnsley town centre who are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Operatives to join their busy, friendly team.
This will be a varied role, which involves training in all aspects of the warehouse offering a permanent position for someone looking to build a long-term career.

Details:

• Working for a small, fast growing, highly established business
• Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm (no weekends)
• £12.71 per hour
• Opportunity of learning new skills and career progression
• Immediate starts available
• Permanent job role for the right candidate

Main duties of the job:

• Assisting with Goods in duties, inputting data, use of excel and spreadsheets
• Booking in time slots for deliveries and re-directing orders as and when needed
• Picking orders using paper pick sheets
• Packaging of orders ready for despatch i.e. shrink wrapping, palletising, boxing and bagging
• Imputing shipment details onto a bespoke computer software (training provided)
• Various other duties and in-house training will be involved

Skills Required

• Suitable candidates must have experience within Goods in, despatch or a long-term warehouse work history
• Computer literate and able to work on Excel, Word, Microsoft and various other systems
• Positive attitude towards work and learning new skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Fantastic communication as you will be responsible to communicating with derivers and customers providing updates on orders / any changes
• Must have the ability to meet targets and work to deadlines
