We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join a small, clothing manufacturer based in the Hoyland area of Barnsley.
You will be joining a business which takes pride in progressing their staff offering future careers within the industrial sector.
In this role you will be performing general Warehouse Operative duties such as picking orders, packing orders for dispatch, labelling and putting away returned orders. We’re keen to speak to candidates who have previously worked in a Warehouse Operative, Order Picker, Warehouse Packer or similar role.
Your own transport is essential for this position due to not being on public transport routes.

Duties of a Warehouse Operative:
- Packing customer orders ready for dispatch
- Picking orders using hand scanners
- Quality checking of products when they have been returned for defects.
- Putting away returned goods, repackaging and labelling
- Data inputting, allocating new pick faces for inbound products
- Working within a fast paced environment
- Various other duties as and when required
Skills Required for a Warehouse Operative:
- Own transport is essential due to not being on public transport routes
- Candidates must be happy to stand on their feet all day
- Previous picking or general warehouse experience in a similar role would be required (i.e. Warehouse Operative, Order Picker, Warehouse Packer)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under their own initiative
- Candidates must be physically fit due to nature of work
