Warehouse & Transport Manager
Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum
Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Matlock (driving licence and own vehicle required due to the location of the role)
We are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse & Transport Manager to oversee goods-in operations and support the smooth, efficient running of a busy manufacturing warehouse environment.
This is a newly created role designed to strengthen the site’s senior operational structure.
You will take ownership of goods-in, warehouse systems and transport coordination, while working closely with an established Goods-Out function and wider production teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all goods-in activities, ensuring accurate receipt, inspection and storage of materials
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring a smooth, well-organised setup
- Use and maintain MRP systems for stock accuracy and control
- Coordinate transport activity and oversee external and employed drivers
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and lean principles
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and warehouse best practice
- Work collaboratively with production, dispatch and senior management to ensure OTIF delivery
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and flow within the warehouse
Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor, Assistant Manager or Manager role
- Strong understanding of goods-in processes and stock control
- Experience using MRP or warehouse management systems
- Exposure to 5S, lean manufacturing or Six Sigma environments
- Confident coordinating transport and working with drivers (training available if required)
- CPC qualification desirable (or willingness to work towards)
- A proactive, organised and people-focused leadership style
- Full UK driving licence required
