Van driver / Warehouse Operative

We are currently working with an established company in the Dinnington area for a Van Driver/Warehouse operative to join the company on a temp to perm position.

Candidates must have worked in a warehouse environment previously.

Main Duties include:

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate manual handling techniques
• Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
• Perform routine maintenance on the van and report any mechanical issues
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
• Receiving and Processing Incoming Stock:
• Inspecting items for damage and reporting any discrepancies.
• Conducting regular stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Keeping the warehouse clean and free from hazards.
• Checking the quality and condition of products before they are shipped.
• Maintaining records of stock levels, orders, and deliveries.
• Using warehouse management software to input data and track inventory.

Experience:

• Knowledge of the warehouse sector
• Happy to use excel
• Must be over the age of 25 due to insurance purposes
• Clean Licence

Pay Rate: £12.40 Per Hour

Hours: Monday & Tuesday 10:30am-7pm, Wednesday to Friday 12:30pm-7pm
