Van Driver, Ilkeston

We are currently recruiting for reliable and customer-focused Van Driver to join our busy team.

This role involves delivering goods to local businesses while providing excellent customer service and ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently and accurately.

 

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm / 8.30am- 5.30pm

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

 

Key Responsibilities of the Van Driver:

• Safely drive a small company van to complete scheduled deliveries.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes within the local area.
• Build positive relationships and provide excellent customer service to clients.
• Respond quickly to incoming orders and changing delivery requirements.
• Pick and pack orders accurately using handheld scanners.
• Load and unload vehicles, including manual handling of goods.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in line with company procedures.

 

Skills & Experience required:

• Previous van driving or delivery experience is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of the local area would be beneficial.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and react to changing priorities.
• Comfortable with manual handling duties.

 

Van Driver Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older due to fleet insurance requirements.
• Hold a full UK driving license
