Trainee Site Installation Operative – Rotherham

We are working with a family-run business based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, who are looking for a motivated individual to join their team as a Trainee Site Installation Operative. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the insulation and heating industry, with scope for career progression and skill development. This is a temporary to permanent position with immediate starts available.

Pay & Hours:

• Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour (reviewed after training)
• Overtime available
• Monday to Friday – various working hours
• Travel time included in pay rate

Main Duties:

• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
• Install trace heating cable to pipework/vessels following manufacturer instructions and site drawings
• Terminate trace heating cables into junction boxes and thermostats
• Test trace heating cables
• Manual handling of materials on site
• Install insulation to pipework
• Apply various insulation finishes to pipework

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence essential
• CSCS card required
• Previous experience in a construction site environment
• Good communication skills
• Health and safety awareness
• Willingness to work away from home as required
