Trainee Manufacturing Operative, Rotherham

A local fast growing, manufacturing company, are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Trainee Manufacturing Operative to join the team on a temporary to permanent basis?

In this role you will be performing general Manufacturing Operative duties such as machine operation, loading materials, quality checking finished items and other general production duties.

Details and Benefits;

• Rotating shifts (days, afternoons & nights)
• Days: 5.45am – 2pm (Monday – Friday)
• Afters: 1.45 pm – 10pm (Monday – Friday)
• Nights: 9.45pm – 6am (Sunday – Thursday)
• £12.71 per hour
• Working for a well-established business

Duties of a Manufacturing Operative;

• Operating of various machinery including roller pack
• Cross referencing frames & components against product codes & specifications
• Heavy lifting of items across all departments
• Loading & offloading materials from machinery
• Use of clipping equipment repetitively for attaching springs to units
• Quality checking of items to meet customer expectations
• Recording of findings & reporting of machine faults to Engineers / Management
• Palletising & banding of heavy materials & products
• Ensuring all waste / rubbish is disposed of correctly & maintain a clean & tidy working environment
• Other duties included, as and when required

Requirements of a Manufacturing Operative;

• Must be physically fit due to nature of the role
• Both numerate & literate with expectancy of completing paperwork when needed
• Own transport would be essential due to working hours & location
• Ability to multi-task as well as working as part of a team
