Trainee Machine Operator
Location: Ilkeston
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Contract: Temp to Perm
We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Machine Operator to join a busy engineering team in Ilkeston.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career within quality inspection and engineering, with full training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect manufactured parts using a range of basic measuring equipment
- Assist with CNC and CMM inspection processes
- Accurately record inspection results using computer systems
- Work from engineering drawings and measurement specifications
- Carry out incoming and outgoing goods inspections
- Identify and report defects or quality concerns to the Quality Team
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe inspection area
Skills & Experience
- Previous inspection or manufacturing experience would be advantageous, but is not essential
- Full training will be provided
- Good mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to follow instructions and work accurately
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
