Skilled Bench Joiner (Permanent), Burton on Trent

We are currently recruiting for a Skilled Bench Joiner to join a well-established and growing business specialising in the manufacture of high-quality bespoke joinery.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who takes pride in their craftsmanship and enjoys producing exceptional work. The role is predominantly workshop-based, with opportunities to travel both within the UK and internationally to support project installations.

Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
• Flexibility required during peak periods, including extended hours up to 7:00pm and occasional weekends

Salary & Benefits:

• £16.50 per hour
• Basic Salary: £34,320 per annum
• Average Earnings: Circa £42,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities of a Bench Joiner:

• Manufacture and assemble bespoke joinery products to precise specifications.
• Work accurately from technical drawings, plans, and measurements.
• Operate a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Assist with installation projects when required.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Bench Joiner (ideally 5+ years).
• Experience within exhibitions, shop fitting, furniture manufacturing, or bespoke joinery would be highly advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Experience working with hardwoods, softwoods, and a variety of joinery materials.
• Confidence using woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Proactive, reliable, and solution-focused attitude.
• Good understanding of workshop health and safety procedures.
