Are you an experienced Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Team Leader or Shift Supervisor looking for a leadership role with a growing manufacturer?

We’re recruiting for a Team Leader to lead production and warehouse teams, drive operational performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives within a busy manufacturing environment. Production and Warehouse Team Leader responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and develop production and warehouse teams to achieve operational objectives.
  • Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with company procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor productivity, quality standards and team performance, taking corrective action where necessary.
  • Manage employee attendance, conduct performance reviews, and support disciplinary and absence management processes.
  • Ensure employees receive appropriate training, coaching and development to perform their roles effectively.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements, operational changes and production trials.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction and KPI achievement.
  • Ensure resources are effectively allocated to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Oversee shift handovers, break management and workforce deployment to maximise operational efficiency.
  • Maintain effective communication within the team and across departments, escalating issues where required.
  • Work alongside HR to support recruitment activities, induction processes and employee onboarding.
  • Complete and maintain all required administration accurately, including holiday management, time and attendance records, and operational reporting.
  • Build  working relationships across the business to support operational excellence.

 

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, rotating weekly shifts of 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm

 

Skills & Experience Required

Essential:

  • IOSH qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment.
  • People management and team leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office packages.
  • A positive and proactive leader who leads by example.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high standards.
  • Able to build credibility and trust with colleagues at all levels.

Desirable:

  • Additional health & safety, leadership or operational qualifications.
  • Knowledge of SAP systems.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement projects and production trials.
