Shift Electrician, Worksop

Our client based in Worksop is a globally renowned minerals manufacturing company, headquartered in Belgium, with multiple sites across the UK. They are deeply committed to the communities we operate from and are actively transitioning towards a low carbon future to ensure sustainability. We are looking to recruit a Shift Electrician on a permanent basis.

Core Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• Apprenticeship-trained in electrical engineering (preferred)

Technical Skills

• Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
• Motor controls and drives (VFDs, soft starters)
• PLC knowledge (Mitsubishi)
• SCADA knowledge (Wonderware)
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
• Preventive and reactive maintenance of electrical systems
• Installation and commissioning of electrical equipment
• Basic mechanical understanding
• Experience of working with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems)
• Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems
• Experience in hazardous area equipment (ATEX)

Soft Skills & Attributes

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Attention to detail and safety awareness
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and on-call rota
• Time management and prioritisation under pressure

The role will work on a pattern of 4 x 12 hour day shifts, followed by 4 days of rest. This will include weekends and bank holidays.
