Sewing Machinist – Manvers / Dearne Valley (Rotherham)

We are currently recruiting an experienced Sewing Machinist to join a small but fast-growing manufacturing business based in the Manvers / Dearne Valley area of Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for a Sewing Machinist looking to secure a full-time, permanent position and build a long-term career within the sewing and textile industry.

You will be joining a supportive team where training, development, and progression are encouraged. The successful Sewing Machinist will work with a range of fabrics and contribute to producing high-quality finished products for customers.

Details:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am – 2:30pm (early finish)
• £12.21 per hour (rising after 12 weeks)
• Permanent contract
• Full training provided
• Immediate starts available

Duties:

• Operating a lockstitch sewing machine
• Cutting and measuring various types of fabric
• Preparing customer orders for despatch
• Carrying out quality checks on all finished products
• Supporting other production tasks as required

Skills Required:

• Previous sewing machinist experience is required
• Strong work ethic and ambition to succeed
• Ability to work to customer deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail
• Positive attitude towards learning new skills and personal development
