Field Service Engineer, Burton on Trent
Permanent contract
Due to recent growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer, based in Burton on Trent. As Service Engineer you are responsible for aftermarket servicing, repair, upgrading and commissioning of stock.
Pay
- Up to £42,000 per annum DOE (higher than the average salary of £34k on Indeed for a Field Service Engineer)
- Lots of overtime available
Hours of work
- Monday to Friday, 7:30m – 16:30pm
- Must be flexible in travelling and staying away
Responsibilities
- Carrying out aftermarket servicing, maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment both on customer sites worldwide and within the service workshop.
- General inspection, fault finding, and testing of equipment
- Measuring and recording electrical values including resistance and insulation readings
- Ensuring all associated wiring and protective devices comply with current regulations and legislation
- Conducting live electrical testing where required
- Documenting service activities electronically and producing detailed technical reports for customers
- Assisting with product development activities and participating in regular product review meetings
- Commissioning new equipment on customer sites worldwide
- Supporting other departments with testing and inspection of production and rental equipment
- Providing technical support to customers via phone, email, or other communication methods to assist with urgent breakdowns and operational issues
- Arranging associated travel and accommodation when required for site visits
- Assisting with warranty-related matters by providing technical support to colleagues and customers
Experience needed
