Recycling Operative, Pontefract

We are currently looking for an open-minded Recycling Operative to work for a friendly company based in Pontefract.

You will be working towards a permanent job role within a bespoke clinical waste business.

In this Recycling Operative role you will be unloading, loading and cleaning and disinfecting clinical waste containers. Any experience in a Yard Operative or Recycling Operative role is beneficial.

Please note: this role is working with clinical waste, so expect to be working with soiled hospital linens and various medical waste.

Pay Rate:

• £12.71 per hour

Hours:

• 4 on, 4 off
• 7am – 7pm

Main duties of a Recycling Operative:

• Unloading and loading of clinical waste containers
• Cleaning and disinfecting clinical waste containers
• Conducting hygiene checks on the containers
• Separate medical waste equipment into different streams
• Quality checking bins after they have been through sterilisation processes
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
• Various other duties when required

Skills Required for this Recycling Operative role:

• Experience within a yard, recycling plant or production environment is beneficial
• Physically fit due to the nature of the role
• Positive ‘can do’ attitude towards learning new skills
