Recycling Operative – Normanton

We are currently looking for an open-minded Recycling Operative to join a friendly waste-management service based in Normanton on a temporary to permanent basis.

As a Recycling Operative you will be loading and unloading clinical waste into containers, cleaning and disinfecting the containers and maintaining a safe and clean working environment. If you have any prior experience in a Recycling Operative, Outdoor Labourer or Yard Operative role in a similar environment this would be beneficial.

You will be working towards a permanent job role within a bespoke clinical waste business.

Details and Benefits:

• £12.71 per hour
• 4 on 4 off, 7am-7pm
• Temp to Permanent opportunity

Duties of a Recycling Operative Include:

• Unloading and loading of clinical waste containers
• Cleaning and disinfecting clinical waste containers
• Conducting hygiene checks on the containers
• Separate medical waste equipment into different streams
• Quality checking bins after they have been through sterilisation processes
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
• Various other duties when required

Skills & Requirements of a Recycling Operative:

• Experience within a yard, recycling plant or production environment is beneficial
• Physically fit due to the nature of the role
• Positive ‘can do’ attitude towards learning new skills

Please note this role is working with clinical waste, so expect to be working with soiled hospital linens and various medical waste.
