Job Title: Quality Assurance Operative – QA3

Location: Sheffield (S20 Area)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

Contract Type: Ongoing / Temporary to Permanent

An exciting opportunity has become available within a multi-national engineering company based in the S20 area of Sheffield for a Quality Assurance (QA3) operative. The company designs and manufactures both standard and bespoke rail power systems, including trackside and vehicle-mounted solutions.

Main Duties:

• Carry out goods-in inspections to ensure components meet required standards.
• Perform both pre-test and post-build quality inspections.
• Ensure all stages of production comply with client specifications.
• Follow checklists and working procedures to ensure all products are built to specification.
• Use precise measuring equipment, such as tape measures and metal rulers.
• Operate basic hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers) as part of inspection tasks.
• Use a digital camera to capture data and proof of build.
• Accurately record all quality control documentation and digital images onto the company database.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Previous experience within a quality assurance or inspection role is desirable, but not essential.
• Some electrical experience is required (e.g., working with electrical components or systems).
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Ability to follow detailed and precise instructions accurately.
• Proactive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
