Job Title: Project Estimator

Location: Doncaster

Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent

Salary: Starting £27,500 per annum (may be negotiable depending on experience)

Hours: 8am – 4.30pm (30 min lunch)

We are seeking a motivated Project Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will support senior estimators by assisting with cost estimates, gathering bids, and organising project documentation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in project management within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist senior estimators with preparing detailed cost estimates for projects.
• Perform quantity take-offs and analyse drawings and specifications.
• Obtain and compare quotes from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Chase all project quotations to meet customer expectations.
• Upsell and cross-sell products where required.
• Maintain and update estimating databases and cost records.
• Conduct research on materials, equipment, and labour costs to support pricing accuracy.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure smooth information flow.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Previous estimating experience desirable but not essential.
• Design skills within the lighting industry desirable but not essential.
