Production Team Leader, Doncaster

Due to continued growth and expansion we are currently looking to recruit a Team Leader to join our business in Doncaster on a permanent basis.

The starting salary is up to £38000 per annum and the working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Production Team Leader: 

• Lead, manage, and motivate production teams to achieve production, quality, and delivery targets.
• Ensure production lines operate efficiently and staffing levels are optimised to meet operational demands.
• Monitor production performance and take proactive action to address quality, efficiency, or delivery issues.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, promoting a positive safety culture across all production areas.
• Ensure all procedures, working practices, and company standards are consistently followed.
• Identify and escalate equipment faults, maintenance requirements, and operational issues to minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational performance.
• Provide day-to-day coaching, supervision, and development support to production operatives.
• Assist with employee performance management, training, inductions, attendance monitoring, and conduct matters.
• Ensure production, quality, safety, and personnel records are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and ensure production areas remain clean, organised, and safe.
• Work collaboratively with fellow Team Managers and support functions to ensure consistent operational standards.

Experience and Skills of a Production Team Leader: 

• Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, or Management role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage teams effectively.
• Good understanding of production processes, operational performance, and quality standards.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Confidence in making decisions and managing priorities in a fast-paced production setting.
• Competent IT and administrative skills.
• A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
