Production Operatives – Immediate Starts Available

Location: Wirksworth
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
Pay: £12.21–£14.00 per hour (role-dependent)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

We are recruiting Production Operatives for a respected manufacturer based in Wirksworth. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a stable, weekday role with long-term prospects and full on-the-job training.

Due to the site location, candidates should either live locally or be able to reliably travel for an 8am start (public transport is available from surrounding areas).

Enhanced Skill Opportunities & Pay Rates

We are also looking for candidates with the following additional skills:

3.5 Tonne Licence: Flexibility to carry out local deliveries as required.
Rate: £12.54 p/h

Bandknife Experience: Experienced operators welcomed.
Rate: £14.00 p/h

FLT Licence (new passes accepted):  To cover FLT duties during the existing operator’s break (approx. 1 hour per shift), with potential to cover holidays.
Rate during FLT cover: £13.50 p/h
General operative duties carried out for the remainder of the shift.

Block Store Support: This role involves lifting and retrieving items from racking at heights that require an extended overhead reach.

Main Duties

• Using hand tools and machinery
• Cutting and preparing foam products
• Quality checks and visual inspections
• Operating band saws and other machinery (training provided)
• Manual handling
• Basic assembly work
• Following written and verbal instructions
• Supporting general production tasks as needed

Pay & Overtime

• General Operative: £12.21 p/h
• Skill-Uplifted Roles: £12.54–£14.00 p/h
• Overtime: Paid at time and a half
