Production Operative (Days), Featherstone Pontefract

We are currently working with a well-established company in Featherstone, Pontefract who are recruiting Production Operatives. The role provides stability & long-term opportunities for the right individual.

As a Production Operative you will be working on a production station quality checking recyclable plastic, sorting large plastic sheets, removing defects, banding pallets and other production duties as needed.

If you have previous experience within a Production Operative, Factory Operative or similar role this would be beneficial.

Pay Rate:

• £13.36 per hour (overtime paid for Sunday’s & bank holidays)

Hours of work:

• 6am – 6pm
• Following shift pattern – 3 days working / 3 days off

Duties of a Production Operative include:

• Working on production station for quality checking of recyclable plastic
• Scanning of barcodes on computer system
• Sortation of large plastic sheets into correct locations depending on cleanliness
• Using degreaser to remove any defects including grease, dirt and tough residues
• Banding of pallets manually & ensuring products are secure
• Ensuring targets are being regularly met
• Following Health & Safety work practices
• General upkeep of working environment & assisting with Hygiene / Cleaning of all areas

Skills required for this Production Operative position:

• Previous production or factory experience would be beneficial
• Must have a keen eye for detail
• Candidate must be physically fit due to the nature of the role
• Own transport needed or must be living locally
• Must be able to work independently & use of own initiative
